Warranty Policy

As valued customers of Avantis Canada, your adherence to the policies and procedures outlined below is crucial in ensuring a smooth warranty process.

1. Warranty Eligibility This warranty applies only to the original purchaser, provided they have the original purchase documents. It excludes products not sold by Avantis Canada. This warranty is non-transferable. To activate your warranty, please register your new scooter within 30 days of purchase.

2. Warranty Period Mobility Scooters Coverage:

  • Frame: 1 year (up to 6000km)

  • Motor: 1 year (up to 6000km)

  • Battery & Charger: 6 months

  • Lights & LCD Display: 6 months

  • Other Electrical Components: 1 year

  • Other Components: 1 year (up to 6000km)

3. Warranty Coverage The warranty we provide addresses any manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship and includes the replacement of the following defective parts:

  • Lithium-ion battery, frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, lights, transaxle, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD, kickstand, reflectors, and hardware.

4. What Is Not Covered (Exclusions) This warranty is designed to cover manufacturing defects. It does not cover issues resulting from external factors. Exclusions include:

  • Excluded Parts: Brakes (including pads, rotors, and cables), tires, tubes, plastic housings and shrouds, pitting, scratches, chips, grips, and seat fabric.

  • Accidents, Misuse, and Wear: Damage resulting from accidents, crashes, misuse, abuse, overuse, or other forms of man-made damage. Gradual deterioration from normal wear and tear is not covered.

  • External & Environmental Damage: Damage from water, road salt, power surges, or exposure to extreme environmental conditions (including freezing temperatures).

  • Labor: The labor for any warranty repairs must be carried out at the original store of purchase or an authorized center. Avantis Canada will cover the cost of the replacement parts only.

5. Limitations and Exclusions

  • Modifications: Modifications from the original design or intended use, such as pulling trailers or using the scooter for commercial purposes, will void the warranty.

  • Unauthorized Service: Service or parts replacement not performed by an authorized Avantis Canada dealer/technician will void the warranty.

  • Sole Remedy: The repair or replacement of a defective part is the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty.

  • Software Updates: Our scooters are not connected to the internet. Any software updates are a manual process. Customers must follow specific instructions provided by Avantis Canada.

6. Warranty for Purchased Parts This warranty extends to defects in materials or quality of purchased spare parts for 90 days post-purchase. Avantis Canada will repair or replace defective parts free of charge. It does not cover damage from improper use, lack of maintenance, accident, abuse, or foreign substances. All covered items must have a valid warranty sticker.

7. Warranty Claim Procedures

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase is required for any warranty claims.

  • Evaluation: After an initial review of your claim, Avantis Canada will determine its eligibility.

  • Inspection and Shipping: If further inspection or repair is required, the scooter/part must be either taken to the original purchase location or shipped to Avantis Canada. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
